I am a Los Angeles–based visual artist whose work bridges textiles, design, and painting. My creative journey began in high school, designing and sewing my own clothing, a passion that grew into a lifelong exploration of fabric, structure, and form. After earning a B.S. in Textiles & Clothing from The Ohio State University and studying design and illustration at the Columbus College of Art & Design, I carved my own path as a self-taught artist.
Early in my career, I created large-scale window displays for major retailers in Chicago and later painted murals and designed custom hand-painted furniture for clients in Cleveland. For the past decade, I have focused on abstract painting, developing a unique process rooted in sewing and construction. Each canvas is built from scratch, hand-stitched with embroidery thread, layered with handmade details, and then painted in bold, often monochromatic palettes. The sewn foundation is as integral as the paint itself, resulting in works that are modern, organic, and richly dimensional.
My art is about balance, between structure and spontaneity, order and imperfection, beauty and grit. Each piece carries energy and presence, reflecting the beauty in our flaws while inviting viewers to explore the textures, details, and stories woven into the surface, offering a glimpse into the ways lives are pieced together and put on display.
